GuardPoint Mobile

Using a hand held PC device or PDA coupled with a compact flash reader a security guard can verify a cardholders identity anywhere on a site. They simply hold the users card up to the handheld device and the card details, photograph or biometric information is instantly displayed on the screen.
This technology is particularly useful on large spread out sites where doors or gates cannot always be used to restrict a persons' movement between areas i.e. Airports, Ports, Building Sites, Universities etc.

Remote Application Software

The software application is installed on the PDA together with a coupler to allow the user to download the information encoded on the smart card back to the PDA. When the GuardPoint Mobile application is running and a card is held up to the PDA all of the information written on the smart chip will be displayed on screen.

Applications include:

Mobile ID Verification: Read and display a photo, personal data and biometric data.
Guard Tour Tracking: Monitors and records the activity levels of a security guard.
Health and Safety: Mobile spot-checking of personnel for type rating, skills, qualifications, etc.

Host Application Software

The GuardPoint Mobile host application is integrated with the GuardPoint Pro access control software allowing the user to pull the database fields from the access control system into the GuardPoint Mobile, greatly reducing the time taken to encode the cards with the required data.
GuardPoint Mobile also allows the user to preview and custom design the PDA screen from one access control database. Changes can be made to the number of fields, types, size etc.
Once the initial configuration of GuardPoint Mobile is complete encoding of the cards can take place using the Reader/Writer that is supplied with the software package.
